About The Department
The Political Science Department was established in the year of 2017. The department offers Honours and general courses in Political Science. It follows the syllabus of West Bengal State University that covers different aspects of Political Science like Political Theory, International relations, Comparative Politics , Indian govt and politics , Public administration, Western Political Thought ,Indian Political Thought etc. Lecture method is followed for teaching students. Regular tutorials , class tests , special lectures on syllabus related topics are being conducted by the department. The department has well equipped reference books for the regular requirement of students. Seminars also conducted for enhancing awareness of the students. The department also arranged webinars on various topics during pandemic period. The department also organises wall magazine on syllabus related topics.The department also encourage students participation in Youth Parliament debates organised by West Bengal Parliamentary Department. The department organizes occasional PTM to know the grievances and suggestions of the parents and for their redressal.
